Nice pieces, I especially like the owyhee piece , I am not familiar with the term buff tops may somebody enlighten me on that one please.

I cut buff tops when, I think the pattern on the face will change if it is ground down. I also do it when working with thin slabs. The down side is it is more difficult to remove scratches and the top and bottom need to be aligned. Normally I set the shape on the bottom and dome toward the center.

FYI: In the jewelry trade, the generally accepted definition of buff top can be found here www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/buff%20top"a style of cut of certain gemstones in which the top is cut cabochon and the bottom is step-cut"Either way, all the cabs can all be called pretty

All are beautiful but the morrisonite is my favorite! Almost looks like it's glowing in spots!

you have a great batch here. That unknown looks like some sheep creek that I have. Fran I think you are right. I know I have some, but after a while it is hard to remember what slabs you have. I'll change the description on this topic.
