Its been a few weeks since I have had any time at the grinder but I had an order for a "purple" pendant so I did a few today. Not sure what the brown and white cow pattern one is but I got a large chunk from donnie on a trade so I have a bunch of slabs of this stuff now. It took a great shine with Zam on a buff. here's the unknown cow rock green moss agate (also from donnie) green moss backlit here's the purple stuff (slab from estate sale just labeled brazil) And I had to get a puddingstone done thanks for looking chuck

You could be right about the calcite, it seemed too soft to cab when I was slabbing it but it actually worked up nicely and the zam performed great on it. I would love to know if it has an actual I.d. And location since I have a bunch now.

The fine lines on the purple stuff makes it look like a Botswana agate.

Your cow rock reminds me of zincite on calcite. Tons of that stuff (literally) at the Franklin and Sterling hill mines by me. Most of it also has black spots which are franklinite, but I don't see much of that in your cab.
