Well I don't have pictures yet but went to visit the pile last weekend. It's near the town of Watseka, Illinois. The cornfield belongs to my relative and it has tons of glacial remains the keep surfacing. They put them in a pile at the end of the field since they damage the machinery. Every year he hires guys to walk the entire thing and pick up the big ones. As for us, most of them will be used to make flower bed retain walls but hopefully a few will be interesting enough to cab. So far what we've managed to pick up is mostly granite, some random sedimentary something or other, chert, and fossilized coral. Some has mica type layers. We just need to get the truck out to the piles and load em up ! It's hard to tell what is there with all the dirt and weeds growing in and around them so minimal sorting can happen there. Wish us luck !
