Went out to our Candy Rock Claim yesterday, I dug for 5 hours and only filled one bucket. Then I found a nice honey hole and had to stay till almost dark getting it all out. Today I slabbed some up and made some cabs. This was the best load I have ever dug out of our mine. Sorry some of the pictures are in the shade. The hole and a big 200+ pound piece that I had to break up. That big rock made a good pile. The top layer was all banded like christmas candy (or bacon) lol Candy!! Had a good time hauling all these buckets 1000 feet down the hill thru an aroyyo and back up the hill to the truck. But well worth it. First one in. These will work great. One finished Another one Another from a different piece. Hope you enjoy the pics. Jason

Yep this is my favorite way of seeing rocks too. Great presentation and that has got to be one of the prettiest forms of rhyolite I've seen. Right up there with the material from outside Goldfield, Nevada.....Mel

Love that last cab. How rewarding is that, to dig it up and create a gorgeous cab 'from scratch!'

I like very much the rough rocks and the cabs, but the middle finger of the glove in the 1st picture is priceless! ;D

Awesome! Do you find float leading you to the big rocks you dig up? I think it's great seeing the rough to finished pictures too. Looks like you have a great source of fantastic material. Steve
