I just got my a-r1 from the rock shed with a few lids and lid rings.I was wondering what wt of oil do you use in the motor for the bearings. The motor says 20wt I can not find any around here.I do have a few qts of 30wt motor oil would that work?Would it be too thick of an oil for that little motor?
Thanks Jason K

Any all purpose oil will work. I use "Zoom Spout Oiler" that I buy now at Home Depot. You can probably find 15-20 at ant auto parts. It would work too. I'm surprised they don't have straight 20 wt. but most people use multi grade oil these days in vehicles.

I use 3 in 1 for electric motors which is 20w. I think it's for the hotter running bearings. Home Depot.

I will pickup some 3 n 1 oil for it today and start running my first batch in it.I will post some pix of it when I am done with the batch to see what all of you think.
Thanks everyone for the input.

Sewing machine oil will work too.
Don't over oil your motor. Just a couple drops on each bearing about every month of running time.

3 in 1, sewing machine oil, and the Zoom Spout that I used in my close to 30 years in the HVAC trade are likely all light weight machine oils without any additives sometimes included in automotive oils. Any would work just fine. I'm thinking other multi use oils like those sold for guns or fishing reels also.
