We bought an old barrel of about 500 lbs of brazilian agates this summer and it's a lot more than we will cut. Most are fist sized so too big for a sfrb, right for a medium. I have cut a dozen or so so far and the only cracks I have found were on a couple that looked like they had been busted with a hammer to see inside. I have been pleased with the patterns and colors, from carnelian reds and browns to yellow and blue gray pastels or crackly agate or drusy centers. Quite a bit of tortoise shell and parralax in the banding and some seemed promising for irising if we had cut thin slabs. I figure for uncut nodules we can go $45.00 including shipping for 10lbs in a MFRB or $55.00 for 15lbs. They will be a semi-random mix of the different types as far as I can tell w/o cutting. Of course they will all be over in weight and well packed with reused packing foam and newspaper to survive the trip. PM me if you want one. Paypal is the best way to pay but we can work out other arrangements. Update, still have these for sale. through the month of April I will put 12 lbs in the 10 lb box and 20 lbs in the 15 lb box. Help me pay off uncle Sam. Lee

I was told by a dealer that the ones what looked like they was wacked, are when they used em as ballast stone. Supposedly they are old stock. Later Clyde

Clyde these are old stock. I was told they were originally purchased in the 50's or 60's. Don't know if they were ballast stones, only a few of them were busted, and I have already slabbed most of those for cabs. Steve I can probably put together a box of flatter shaped ones less than 2 inches through. The HP 6 inch trim saw I have would just barely cut something 2 inches tall. Brazilians are really hard so you would want to use a thicker blade IMO. If UR interested shoot me a message and I'll sort through them and see how many lbs of smaller stuff I have.

Wish I didn't already have a bucket full of Brazilians. I'd have to jump on a box.
Oh what the heck. Put me down for a 20 lb box. My wife and the mailman can only kill me once. I'll send you a PM with my info.

My agates arrived today. Wow !! I'm gonna have fun cutting, once the weather warms enough to haul the saw out.

Lee will you be cutting some slabs that I might be able to cut down on the new trim saw? I'll have to stick to buying slabs for while. But those are nice. I"ll be watching for some great slabs so keep me in mind.
