I sent everyone the price of this crazylace. My friend gets this right from MEXICO. he has over 800 pounds of crazylace. Most of his stuff he A grade material. If anyone need photos of other rocks let me know. I can go over to his place and take some pics. He has rocks from 2 pounds and up to 18 plus pounds. If anyone like that last photo my friend does not like it that much, he will let that one go for $7.00 per pounds and it is 6.50 pounds.

$7/lb is pretty high unless it shows better. The rough looks solid, and since it is more of less not red crazylace, solid is to be expected. However the psuedomorph pattern is not real dramatic, and the contrast is overall low.
I think this is maybe $6 retail, and $5 at shows or in venues like this. That's my opinion.

Thanks for the pm. His asking price is a bit high for lace of that quality, then you need to add shipping to the total.... too much. I can buy good lace locally for $3 to $5 per pound. Let us know if he gets any red crazy lace and/or lowers his price. Thanks!

Yeah, I'm a big fan of crazy lace and have collected a lot of the different varieties. The variety you've pictured was marketed some years ago as "little snake lace" and not to offend your buddy, was low quality lace and much cheaper than the other varieties. I does tend to be solid but generally lacks the fancier colors, distinct patterns, eyes, sagenite, fancy pseudomorphs etc. Saw quite a lot of the little snake at the San Antonio show year before last and it was only a two or three bucks a pound. You can usually pick of some pretty nicely patterned Noriega or cactus lace for six bucks a pound though of course Laguna and red lace can be more like twice that. Good lace is getting more and more scarce. Most what they had at the San Antonio show was just stuff from the reject piles and folks were still paying a buck or two a pound for it....Mel

What I cut for him, he did not like it, that was the test rock he gave me to cut. I cutting two more rock for his, will post photos when I am done. I would buy some myself, but its too high from me also. He is selling his rocks for more than I posted. Sabre I am not offended, all I care about is what I cut for him, I get to keep some slabs !
