I imagine that there are a limitless number of answers, but what do you create from your slabs? I know a few common ones such as cabs (jewelry in general), wind chimes, guitar picks, magnets, coasters, etc, but what else do you creative people do with them?

I know a few common ones such as cabs (jewelry in general), wind chimes, guitar picks, magnets, coasters, etc, but what else do you creative people do with them? floors walls back splash, photo & mirror frames, key chains. I've seen houses where they cut slabs and set them into the walls, just to have something to look at (and didn't have to be painted!!), and each rock was a place they had been at some point in time. The only limitation to what you can do is you and your imagination!!

I visited a friend in Lancaster. He had large slabs of brecciated jaspers mortared into the floor of the entryway of his home. Used the same as tiles. He took time to pieces them together so the mortar was minimized and the slabs were magnificent.
This in a manner very similar to the wall image posted above by Jean.

Never made any but have seen night light kits you just add a slab to as a lamp shade for the bulb. Backlights the slab.

There's a guy who lives near me who makes clocks like Chuck's and also light houses from pudding stone slabs.

Cabs and grouted mosaic items like boxes, table tops, picture frames...I just finished a bowl that I posted the other day. Alas, now I am almost out of polished slabs so I will have to take a step back for awhile. Needless to say, I particularly like the petrified wood giant snake posted in this thread...but I do not have close to enough slabettes to tackle anything that size for now. The only yard art I have done is a stone mosaic bird bath, and it was a BIG hit with the Cardinals, especially the adult male, who live in my yard. I wonder if the red jaspers attracted him but by now he pretty much comes there all the time to bathe and drink.
