Howdy folks. Well, I'm filling the new bin as I put down all the gravel for the walkway. here's a few pics of the progress so far. Thanks for looking....Mel All south Texas petrified wood. Most all you find is weathered black on the outside but often very colorful inside. My Hornitos Jasper pile. Includes Cosmos, Firefly, Stinky Horse Hole, Sierra Primrose, Strawberry, small orb vein types and all the other types of Hornitos Poppy Jasper I found up at our old ranch. I'll take some wet closeups when I get the time. African, Australian and Mexican material. The crate is all Lagunas, Coyamito and Agua Nueva. More Mexican stuff, Brazilian, Obsidian, Jade etc,

Yeah, we need a eyes-fall-out-of-your-head-and-roll-around-on-the-floor warning.

Jan: *L* That name originated when one of our neighboring ranchers was nice enough to dump a dead horse into one of our prospect pits so we got to smell it for months every time we went out to dig poppies. It's was indeed a "stinky horse hole" *L*....Mel

ROFL, Mel, can only imagine the aroma and love the name for the material. Was that the "norm" for ranchers to dispose of a dead horse by just throwing it into the nearest hole, and in this case, unfortunately the area where y'all were prospecting?
