Probably not. Shrinkwood usually shows geometric fracturing that has been rehealed with silica. In real fancy examples the fracturing is even hexagonal in nature. It sometimes does not show on the exterior but mostly it's pretty apparent even without cutting the specimen.....Mel

Shrinkwood is new to me. How does it differ from common petrified wood? The image from Carlos looks a bit like the shells of some sea creature (baculites) growth sutures. Thanks.
