Many sellers stock up at Quartzsite and Tucson. If you are wanting the lowest prices, you have to know exactly what minerals and contact the diggers—either mine owners or people who dig in the locales where the minerals are found (mindat.org can be helpful in finding promising areas). There are some online places that offer "wholesale" flats, but the prices I've seen have been significantly higher than you would get at the Arizona shows for flats (even before shipping cost). Just my own experience, and I'll also be happy to hear of any other good sources.

If I did more than 3-4 shows a year, it might be worth it to go to Q again this year. Last year, I was working and had some extra cash...not this year. Yup, Don, I went through 30 pages of Google search without finding any.
