Howdy folks. My wife got me a new camera for Christmas. Canon Rebel Eos 3i with zoom and macro lens, tripods (tabletop and regular height), filters, memory card, 2 batteries and charger, soft case and acc. bag, editing programs and everything else you can imagine needing for a camera. So I had to try it out last night. I imagine with a tripod and a good background I`ll be able to finally get some good pics. This was point and shoot on auto settings and held in one hand. I did this cab not long ago but never had pics like this before! How do ya like the pic? Attachments:

The picture looks pretty darn good. Now you will drive yourself nuts finding tiny little scratches you could never see before. lol

I am thinking of going from a Nikon to Canon. The Nikon is just ok but every picture I see taken with a Canon Rebel is just amazing.

I think the Nikon are great but I had trouble focusing it for hand held close-ups and the software was not as user friendly as the Canon just an opi8nion mostly

If you`re considering buying a camera my wife said she had gone to Best Buy and bought just the camera with macro lens, then decided to check out Ebay. For an extra $30 she was able to get the entire package. The 75-300mm zoom lens by itself is about $150. She took the other camera back to Best Buy for a refund. Thanks for the replies ya`ll. Have a Happy New Year!

Great cab and lucky you. Santa wasn't that generous with me. I didn't even get rocks...lol. I've been needing a new camera for a while now but just didn't want to spend the money because I know I need a good one with a macro lens for my jewelry. May have to check out ebay and bit the bullet and say "dah da da da da dah...charge"
