I shipped home 100 pounds of rocks I collected in south Texas while in school. I was only home for 4 days, but managed to find a few minutes to cab. I took this piece And made this cab Found a little Llanite Three pieces from the same jasper/agate on top, a wierd piece of flint on bottom with another piece of Llanite

Nice finds and cool cabs, Geoff! We just got in some South Texas flint today, and it's nice to see that it can take a great polish. Much of it will be going to knappers, but there's some that's just screaming to make cool cabs. Thanks for the show! Kris

Thanks guys. Kris, the one that I cut that cab from was an ordinary flint nodule until I cracked it open. I was really excited about the internal coloring. Of course I chipped it when I was knocking the super glue loose (dop wax is beyond me).

Nice group of cabs. The jasper/agate is wild, and llanite always produces nice cabs.

Well done! That jasper/agate looks like some petrified wood I've run across.

Dont knock the super glue loose, heat the nail close to the cab with a candle and apply pressure it will come right off. With practice you can get the super glue warm enough that if you grad a dull knife you can scrap the glue right off the back while its sorta warm n soft. Use cement coated nails they dont rust.
