Is anyone using an industrial camera like this one for photographing rocks?

At 7X - about 15X, it would work good for taking detailed pics. I'd go for the optional ring light. This is the one I bought a while back. I just haven't had time to sit down and figure everything out yet. I opted for the binocular scope with camera and darkfield illumination.

Thats a nice scope. Lighting is has always been an issue for me and I like all the attachments made for scopes.

I've thought about getting one, for myself to photo specimens and to loan to my kids school when they get to geology/earth science, price has me stopped for now!
