Some of Our November finds from our digs at Area 54 in the Panoche Hills ... Me n' Al, just back from the Panoche Hills with a load of jasper, agate, Blue G and jade boulders. Yes, the buckets to the right are full of rock! jasper, brecciated jadeite, almost black silicified blue schist ... Jas-agate, "floating" jasper ... jadeite, plasma "jackstraw" agate, jasp-agate, "Black N' Blue" Blue G ... Blue G, "Technicolor Dream Coat (TDC)" jasp-agate, jasper ... blue schist-mustard poppy jasper ... About 1200 pounds of colorful rock! jadeite & jasp-agate, oh my! you can't have too much red jasper! One of our washstands after a trip ... 8+ lb. jade ... Some funky jasper ... Boulder City, California ... A little of everything ... And a little more! Thanks for watching, hope you can make it out to Area 54 with us sometime. Kris

Ya'll are so lucky!!!!!! I can find some awesomer stuff like that here but the freezing and thawing has it fractured so bad I can almost drop it to make gravel. I will say though that I do not find it that big and or that much of the same thing. I hope to take you up on the invite one of these days. Your barber must have trained at the same place as mine. Nice finds! Huge pieces though! Are there smaller pieces in Area 54 with those of us with smaller saws?

Thanks, friends! Jim, we're truly blessed with great rock that never saw a glacier. Does give us a size advantage, but we still need bigger saws. Still, we don't have the pet woods that you're blessed with in WY. You're right about our barbers! It's a real advantage not to have hair in our eyes! Dee, c'mon down! Area 54 has uncountable tons of material, endless variety, in sizes to fit all saws. You can wander around all day and collect buckets of ready to cab or tumble rock. High grade to your hearts content. I hope you'll all get out to collect with us someday. Happy New Year! Kris

I think there must be a universal barber training school because i keep getting the same cut; even though I keep telling him I want an afro next time; now you know how long I've had it :<))

I think you missed the drop off point by a few hundred miles.. I don't see them in my driveway or yard!!!!! nice stuff as usual!! A few hundred ... or a few thousand? No worries Mario, there's plenty where these came from and we've got piles of 'em! We'll keep filling boxes for you!

what a great haul!
I note whilst jealously eyeing your blue skies that you have to wash the rocks. Here in England we just have to leave them outside in the rain for an hour!
