Dee- The deschutes has a soldered frame and ring for the bail. Actually, it is not soldered but fused argentium silver. I'm not a purist. I'll do whatever it takes to finish a piece, even if a little heat is needed.

Adrian, my thumbnails are permanently short since I started cabbing. LOL! They are also my best tools for wire wrapping. I was blessed with strong nails. Thanks Mom!
