Hey Guys, so I haven't posted in a while because I've been busy with recovering from knee surgery and next week John and I are moving! So not a lot of free time, lots of packing and physical therapy going on. Anyway, my business always has a give-away once a year, so this is one of the two consolation prizes for the give-away. This is a really pretty little Aventurine bead bracelet wrapped with little figure eight links. I haven't wrapped the first prize but it's one of the absolutely gorgeous pieces of Sage Amethyst from Roy! It's going to be wrapped in Argentium Sterling Silver but the shape is still being decided by the public on my DeviantArt page. Roy, this incredible stone has gotten more attention than any other give away piece I've ever done, and it's not even wrapped yet!If you want to take part in the give away follow on my DeviantArt page here: zorias.deviantart.comor Facebook page here: www.facebook.com/ZoriasJewelry. The wire will be decided on the 15th and details for how to win will be released January 16th! Thanks for looking everyone! Krista And this is the something else: Mexican Fire Agate and Baltic Amber in Copper Please don't laugh or poke fun, I've been playing with a lot of different techniques and this is how my first true multi-stone wrap came out.

Nice work! I like the simplicity of the bracelet. The chain lends a nice light and airy look to a delicate colored stone.
The stone is a beauty, too!

I like that new technique. You did a really good job with it. Everything works so well together, too. How did you like doing it? I find that I have no gift for doing that style, though I do like and appreciate it.

Hub, it's definitely my first one, I've done a little weaving in the past but nothing like this, this one has weaving, coiling, hand hammered metal to make ribbon shaped wire, and just tons of stuff going on, the back is pretty ugly lol. Roy, anytime I love these pieces, this will be the first I've wrapped but I couldn't imagine wrapping such beautiful pieces without them being commissioned, what if someone loved the stone but not the color of wire?!?! Tela, I found this style very frustrating. I can't count how many times I wrapped, unwrapped, threw away and then re-thought the design. But, now that I've completed a piece, I think the second one will be easier, and I do sort of like how this one turned out in the end. I'm pleased with it for being a first piece Krista

Krista, that bracelet is really sweet!!!! Simple and elegant!!! Great piece and, well, I'm turning into a sucker for Amy Sage so I'm thinking that I'm going to have to follow this with you! The weave is really an incredible work!!! Beautiful stuff, all!!!
