Howdy folks, Here are just a couple of more pics that my wife took in the snow this morning. Thanks for looking. AM I the only one that finds Photobucket's new format much more challenging to use? Sorry about the large pic size. The wife's work there, not mine *L*....Mel This is the original old ranch house that has been refurbished to serve as a meeting house and library. This is one of the ranch ponds below the stable and tennis courts. Really good fishing in the various ponds and lakes. One of our two ranch Texas Longhorn mascots. This one is Flash, the other is Maverick.

Neat photos! The Photobucket screen has a tab (I think it is in the upper right) that you can click and go back to the old format for the site. You do have to answer a couple questions as to why you hate the new format. I had fun with that! Bob

Nice pictures. Fantastic to look at; as long as one can stay warm while doing so.
Photobucket is a pain in the neck as always. Hate that you need to remember now which albums you want to load pictures to and then still can not switch pictures between albums without making the links redundant..

Wow, it's still hovering around 50 degrees here, that looks cold. Great pics, that's a beautiful place!

As my grandfather used to say, "pretty as a picture puzzle".
Personally, I like the larger photos. Easier on the eyes.

Enjoyed the photos, you probably don't get much snow in your part of the world. I clicked on the tab to switch my photobucket back to the original format. I couldn't navigate the new system at all. Robert

I like the last pic best too. Flash's horns look almost like they're glowing.
Thank y'all for the tip on switching back to the old format on photobucket. I hate this new way too, and just went back and switched.

such a beautiful place you got there. That longhorn is pretty cool looking. Great picture of him in the snow. Also I like your matching birdhouse.

Fossilman, *S* There are so many fish in that particular pond they practically jump into your lap. During the drought we had a pond upstream dry up and netted and transferred over a thousand bass and perch into the pond in the pic so now it's overpopulated....Mel

Are you on the rio Grande Mel?Or at least have it's gravels on your property.Looks like a typical big Texas ranch like 10,000-40,000 acres

James, Not on the Rio grande, we're between Kerrville and Fredericksburg in the hill country NW of San Antonio. The place is not nearly that big, only about 3000 acres. I have a buddy that hauls in Rio grande gravel for landscaping so I save myself a three hour drive by going to his place to hunt rocks *S* I also have a riding buddy that manages a 40,000 acre place that is by the Rio Grande. I've been invited to hunt down there this spring ...Mel

Sounds like paradise Mel.I know who to ask rock questions,i wondered if you were a geologist. I know what you are saying about the gravel from Rio.I collect around Falcon Lake.Every pile of gravel or gravelled road/parking lot is an agate gold mine.A fellow stopped and ask me what i was doing way back by myself out in the road.(collecting rocks on the gravel road). He told me to go a ways down and enter a red gate and collect on his 200 acre spot where he kept a couple dozen cows.Ended up being a high point right on the lake-almost the whole property. The high tips and ridges were covered w/larger cobbles-where the ancient river turns deposited it's larger cobbles and the hills were left behind by erosion prevention of the cobbles. Anyway, the place is incredible collecting site.I stayed in the town of Zapatos and had a blast.
