I am really bummed I couldn't make this show this year. I heard Don Depue of Diamond Pacific finished a fire agate he got from me and it was outstanding. It was one I mined at our claim.

*L* Lowell, we don't call ourselves frumpy as we gets older. We call ourselves smoothly streamlined. Not all boney and angular like when we was younger *L*. Boy, I miss working in the club silent auction booth. Our local club don't even have one, though the San Antonio show has perhaps the largest I've ever seen. Local club only has a handful of showcases too so it's mainly a dealer show....Mel

What a fun show! I got to meet Paul and Lowell. Bob (Bobby1) eluded me though!
Got one of Mel's Hornitos poppy chunks at the silent auction, woo hoo! Have to cut it yet and see what it looks like. I'm just going by Lowell's description of what it is . . . also got a petrified whale vertebra for my bone loving friend, some moss, some mystery jasper, and some chunk of something else (forget) at the silent auction. Did I mention I love silent auctions?
Would have escaped with an acceptable amount of wallet shrinkage except for Skye's Gems was there with a boatload of killer Bertrandite. Sigh. Very lovely stuff!
Afterward my friend Shannon and I went to a pizza place called Toppers in Ventura/Oxnard for late lunch -- fabulous!
Thanks for a great show, Tri-Cities GMS!

I was outbid on Mel's poppy jasper ... now I know by whom! HA! Good pickup Susan. I missed Bob as well. Ana de los Santos, the dealer with the Argentinian agates drained my bank account substantially. x2 on Susan's comment: Great show!

We used to see Anna at many shows. She cleaned us out pretty well a couple of times. She carries some beautiful agate.
