So I finally finished my Sodalite batch and a batch of rocks I got from my friends rock garden to prove a point, you can polish about any rock given time & grit!! Spotted Sodalite Regular Sodalite from Snuffy I used as a filler as I had no small material. My buddies rock ... who didn't think it had any shine in it!! The pics don't show it but it's liquid shine everywhere.. my wife thought they were wet and wouldn't touch them till I put one in her hand to prove they were dry!. now tumbling the rest of the Sodalite I got from Snuffy... Killer stuff bro !!!

Great batch of Sodalite and what's a great shine you got out of them! I envy that you picked up Sodalite out of a friends garden. The local rock shop in town I buy it from went from $8 to now $10 a pound. It's even harder to swallow when you see its size reduce after each grit stage lol
I'm on my 2nd batch (in 1000ao) of Sodalite with amazonite mixed in this time. Sodalite has been my favorite rock to tumble since I started last year. It's also the one I tend to give away the most lol. I echo your post that the members on RTH has been so supportive and encouraging and it shows enthusiastically throughout the threads.

I gave it back to him tonight, said 'you remember that rock I took from the garden you said wouldn't shine cause it was river rock?' then I poured them out onto the bar and everyone stopped and just looked at them,my buddy was floored... and I got 2 others asking me to tumble some stones for them they got on vacation. very cool
