Hello All, I've attached a pic of a lapidary polisher that's listed on my local Craigslist. The asking price is $145 (it comes with "200 lbs lapidary" rock, i don't know what it is). From what I've been able to research the FranTom company was a small company back in the 70's that got purchased by Diamond. Doe's anybody have any input on this polisher and the price? I mostly tumble, but thought it would be neat to get into polishing. If nothing else I could use it for some rough shaping before my 60/90 tumble? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Attachments:

I don't think you could buy anything like that for less than $400.00 -$500.00 even if you had to do some clean up, belt, ect.

If it runs, run, don't walk and snap that thing up. And comes WITH 200 pounds of rock? If that was near me, it'd be mine already.

I bought a similar set up off craigslist. It's got a 10" saw on the left where the expandable drums are in your pic. I paid $250 and definately think it was a killer deal. I've put a ton of hours on it (not to mention it's vintage, lol) and it's still running strong. Buy it, you'll be stoked.
