Yay! I love eBay. You're lucky someone else didn't grab it first. It was a great deal.
@ drip v bubbler-- I just recently began to have trouble with contamination and I use the bubbler. I love the bubbler, though, for the use in house and it's not too messy. I just have to remember to change out the first tray's water more often.

at lapidary school we use swamp cooler pumps. Cheap at home depot and last FOREVER.
They are mounted at the top of a full bucket and the overflow (with stone particles) drains back into the pail. The stone particles sink to the bottom the mostly clarified water is then re-used.
To clarify this the pump is mounted to a 2X4 that holds the pump at the correct height so the intake is under water (but well off the bottom) when the 2x4 is resting on the lip of the bucket.
Just think, when you get a couple of inches thick layer on the bottom of the bucket you can dry our the pancake-ified stone dust, dry that, stabilize it and you will have homemade rainbow cal-silica!

I'd agree you scored a great deal! I found one here 5 or so years ago for 450.00. At the time I almost passed it up....but thankfully I decided to go ahead and pay up. Cash was tight so I was very uptight when I forked over the bucks. It was the best deal I have ever done! I am so glad that i bought it as it has been a great machine. Your gonna LOVE that machine! Congrats and Happy Cabbing! steve

Just some info on the pond pumps. They are rated by g.p.h. and by rise of water in height. I pump from a tank on the shelf below my cabber. I use a smaller rated pump. If you plan to pump from the ground to your worktop be sure to get a strong pond pump. And you will need to reduce the tubing size from pump to intake on cabber.

if you havent used one before you would love it, my first cabbing machine was a Gem Maker with the 8x3 sand paper belts, I was a cabbing fool, then a friend gave me his Genie for $200 and that was it, no more sandpaper belts....I know you are happy with it

Awesome deal, I would have even pulled funds out of the IRA to get that if I didn't have the cash on hand. You got a great unit for a killer price. Looks like they never used it. Jason
