Here is my latest attempt... single strand 18g copper wire with 2 strands of 26g copper wire for the anchor points, and 26g copper for the binding wraps. I'm trying different ideas, so bear with me if they don't look too good, I want to figure out technique before I get to the finesse part! Thanx for looking Attachments:

That's interesting--I especially like what you did coiling the wire around. Keep the ideas coming!

I'm loving watching you experiment. I like this piece. The coiling is nice. The bail is real cool and unusual, too.

I'm loving watching you experiment. I like this piece. The coiling is nice. The bail is real cool and unusual, too. The 18g wire is from a 10 foot section of thermostat wire I got cheap at Lowes. and I used that for the base wire for the wrap... the extra lengths on both ends I wrapped around a metal coat hanger, which is what it is hanging from, with a wide, loose loops, then brought the ends back in to hide the edges through the center and behind the bail. Works really well with a thin leather thong as it hold the strap out away from the piece without as much dangle, and I think it would go good with a chain like that too... it's a style that I haven't seen in many years, my mom calls it Victorian!!

Now that you mention it... I saw a Victorian cameo pendant that reminds me a lot of this. I'd say Neo Victorian, for sure.

I like it!!! If you look at my wraps they're all very similar, kinda stuck in a rut. Nice to see different, Dave

Well, I see you're moving right along! I like the way you did the coiling. The bail sort of reminds me of branches. It's good to experiment!

I'm really liking the binding/coiling on this! You've got it going nice and tight! I also like how you're framing the design in the stone. Keep working it, you're doing good!!!
