They seem to be chunks of granite. At least the two middle ones. I used to walk along the railroad tracks in search of neat rocks to tumble (at least until the cops came up and told me it was "no trespassing and even taking one 2in rock would be "stealing" - sheesh!) and picked up a lot like those. The other two may also be railbed granite, as well. C-ya, Rick

Yeah, Rick is 'on-track' (sorry - couldn't resist) with that one
Looks like the first might be a crystalline limestone. Try some weak acid (such as vinegar) and look at it with a magnifying glass to see if you can see any fizzing. If it fizzes it is likely to be limestone.
