Was in the planing for 14 months, broke 3 swords myself during carving and another cracked during setting, so had to give it a fifth try. Now thanks to Steve Ferenz of New Mexico the project is finally done and I got it yesterday. We choose a mixture of metals; silver, brass and copper to get a good contrast of the intended design (horse and lion my two star-signs according to western and Chinese zodiac). Steve is an incredible artist working with sheet-metal and managed seamless transitions throughout. Here is a shot indoors That thing is shiny with a plus, so out-doors every move you make with the camera gives you a play of light. And the best shot from today Oh yeah, the Simatar is the same material as the lizard last year: Indonesian Chrysocolla. So much for exporting jobs to China, I for one prefer, Western quality craftsmanship. LOL Best regards, Kurt

Thank you everyone, Yes, it looks fantastic; Steve did a wonderful job. Can't take much credit for it myself, as I only did the sword and overall design. It was Steve who made it all possible. that is Great work...Love the piercing especially. What is the scale of this piece? charlie Its huge, when compared with other pendants of mine at 80 x 70mm overall. Piercing? What do you mean with that? The setting? After the Montana sword cracked, having it set by gluing and using two bands running over the top of it, we decided to use the eyes and an additional hole at the back of the lower part of the blade for pins to hold it in place. We believe that that puts less stress on the sword. As this is not a piece hat would be worn on a day by day basis, that should be save enough. Best regards, Kurt
