Something strange is going on. I sent three boxes out on the 8th. All left WA on the 9th. All three were scheduled to be delivered on the 10th. Two were delivered but the 3rd just poofed into nothingness on the 9th after it left WA state. Tracking shows that it left, but no acceptance anywhere.
I contacted the person that this box was shipped to. He had also sent out a box on the 8th, departed on the 9th. Completely different states but his confirmation showed that his box poofed into nothingness too?
Mine disappeared leaving Kent, WA and his disappeared leaving Denver, CO... same day and neither got delivered on the 10th as scheduled......there is still no updates of any kind in our tracking for both of us. Very strange and I'm wondering if anyone else had problems shipping on the 8th???
EDIT: I should have posted this in the buy sell swap section.... oops!

On Monday the 7th I sent boxes to Alisha in GA (newbie box) and they arrived on Wednesday. That same day I sent a box to Mel, and that has arrived as well.
Beefjello sent out his box of baby Lagunas to me on Tuesday the 8th. I received them yesterday.
Mel sent me a box either yesterday or the day before (haven't checked tracking) and am expecting it tomorrow.
A couple years ago i had a box from Tony (Catmanwe) disappear completely. Don't have any clue where it went. He resent me another box with similar stuff (unfortunately the better stuff was in the first box, but he did a great thing resending another box without cost to me. (thanks tony)
Another time a while back I came home and had a P.O. small sorting bin sitting on my front porch filled with rough rock and the tattered, destroyed remnants of a FRB. It look like it blew out in transit.
Don't know if this helps, but it lets you know that I had boxes both going and coming on the 8th that made it through - but all of them were traveling much farther south than yours. Weather issues?

Had a box shipped from Rapid City, S.D. on the 6th. Arrived in Aberdeen, S.D. today. 5 days to make a 7 hour trip. Checked tracking after the box got here. According to USPS, the box hasn't been accepted for shipping yet.

Ok, Lowell, the missing box from Tony scares the beejeebers out of me!!!!! I sent a 4lb block of rare BC Jade to slab for trade on the 8th. I didn't insure it and I'm stupid for not doing that as it's probably worth half of my monthly bills (covering my eyes in shame......)
I've never had this happen before. I did have one mishap where beefjello sent me something that was delivered one street over. The person at that house left it on her kitchen table and never put it back in the mailbox. I figured it out though and went to her house and she gave it to me with a whole list of apologies. I would have never known though had Brian not pm'd me and asked if I'd gotten his box. ALWAYS FOLLOW UP!!!!!!
Don.... Please let me know if yours is accepted. That's what my box has yet to be :help: :help:

Krystee I sent out a pair of antique candle holders that i sold to a customer on Ebay. I shipped them priority on the 26th to Colorado. According to the tracking info they didn't leave my post office until the 31st and didn't get delivered until the 3rd. I guess this the kind of service thst we will be getting from the USPS with the cut backs thst they have put in place. In my local post office all of the old timers are taking an early retirement or are being forced to be transfered. They are all being replaced by parft timers.

LOL, Krystee, I have the agate sitting right in front of me, and as of a couple minutes ago still haven't been accepted.
Wonder if the National Weather Service is having cut backs and part timers too? A little while ago I checked our local NWS website and found out we were having 106 MPH winds with gusts to 188 MPH.

Hold tight Don so you do not blow away. Dakotas have some tough winds but that would blow your rocks away.lol Jim

If those wind speeds had been accurate, I'd be neighbors with friends in Ely, Mn. right now. House, rocks, equipment and all.

Just checked again Krystee. According to USPS tracking, the Fairburns I got yesterday still haven't been accepted for shipping. Gotta love it. LOL
