Colorado has some similar proposals, also one that might make businesses who prohibit guns liable if patrons are hurt by a gun. Likely to be struck down, and plenty of far left proposals to counter, but it was nice to see movement in that direction.

The rest of the states need to follow Texas. I hope they send them through a police combat course if they can. Later Clyde

Just arm all the kids so they can defend themselves.

Two excellent ideas from Canadians.......of course
Let's see now, if I wanted to kill a bunch of people would I choose a spot that had a sign that read "Gun Free Zone" or would I choose one that read " Our staff is armed and trained to blow you sorry a$$ away"? Hmmm, tough choice Curt

Freakin Canadian border police made me seal my pistols in a plastic bags last time I went through there and counted my cartridges ( even rifle rounds) and confiscated half of them so I had to buy more in Alaska and pay a fortune for them. I don't give a dang about advice from any country where they gave up their pistols and have such stupid laws. Like it's not just as easy to shoot someone with a scoped bolt action rifle as with a pistol *L*....Mel

It's not the state it's the local school board. I'm surprised to know we are only the second school district to do this in Texas. Hopefully the state will join us soon

I have no problem with this at all. Granted our overlords do. Of course if I only had a 5%approval rating I wouldn't want people to have guns either.
