It's crazy how rusty you get when you don't wrap for a year! This is a lower grade lapis that I cabbed in 2009 and wrapped for a present tonight for my husbands favorite cousin. Pretty stone and mediocre wrap, LOL! I didn't realize how hard it is to get back into the swing of things I remembered "how" to do everything but..... the flow and smoothness without tweeking the wire has left me going uhhhhh? . Oh well, I think she'll like it anyways and it's a gift ;D

Very clean looking wrap and doesn't interfere with the display of the stone. love the blue and silver together

Glad to see you again Krystee, Been wondering what you been up to as there haven't been any posted wraps in awhile. Welcome back to wrapping... your rusty work looks better than my best wraps!!

I think it looks great! ;D But, I know what you mean, it takes me a few wraps to get into the swing when I've left it for awhile.

Thanks everyone! I think I labelled this stone incorrectly. I had someone tell me that this is not low grade Lapis, instead it is top shelf Namibian Sodalite. I knew I had some slabs from him so I pulled them out to compare and they are spot on. Thank goodness I never sold this cab under the wrong name!!!!

Krystee, I didn't see any rust on it at all so you must not be as rusty as you thought...;-). Looks great.

Nice work Krystee. I share your sentiments about being rusty. I haven't wrapped in a while either and am almost afraid to try lol. Nate

It's very pretty--quite feminine.

I'd like to be as "rusty" as you when it comes to wire wrapping. Beautiful pendant.
