Donnie,do you ever sleep? ;D-your work as always is absolutely stunning. How will you ever find enough new rocks for your imagination I wonder? Would love to see a back catalogue of your work-got a link?Or should I just search previous posts? Thanks as usual for sharing your work.John.

Nice set, Donnie! You do really great sets. I love that pendant stone. It's really unusual looking for coprolite.

Awesome Donnie, I am starting to really like poop as jewelry, nice colors. We have here my fav three wire n cab people, what two gauge wires do yall use? One of you told me to get wire from rio grande and to sell them the scrap wire. I checked n they also take scrap gold n silver necklaces. I have one of each, I figure I can trade out n get some wire n pliers. You know me, no money but I think I might have a couple hundred in scrap jewelry. So what ratio wire do I need, I need two gauges, one for the tight lil wraps n the bigger wire for frame. What do you think one third small wire and two thirds larger gauge. I read the wire wrapping tutorial. I dont have any hard cabs but got twenty or thirty nice turquoise freeform cabs. Wish yall would wrap one n put a pic up. They have backing, would that affect the wrap? I send you a cab if you wrap it n put a pic on here from several angles n you can keep the cab. I send you a rare does not exist turquoise mine cab! Thanks, Bill

Thank you Bill! I use 22 gauge square wire soft & 21 or 22 gauge half round wire. I would rather use soft on the half round but had to use half hard & I was doing some fussin & cussin when I made the earrings. It does not matter that your turquoise is backed. If you are just starting out wrapping get some copper or brass wire in those gauges to start with. Silver & gold filled are just too high right now to be practice wire, although the silver filled it not too bad. Something else you could use is Parawire. They have 21 gauge square & half round in silver, gold, vintage bronze, black, titanium. It is a coated copper wire but it is very durable. Here is the link to Parawire: www.parawire.com/craftstore.htmlA good place to buy Parawire is this place here: www.bellomodo.com/index.php?cPath=535_1362They offer free shipping & their price is pennies more than on Parawire's website. If you want to send me one of your turquoise cabs to wrap, I will send it back to you so you can look at it from all sides. That would be easier than looking at pictures.

Ok Donnie I send you two cabs. You keep the one you want? That way I dont feel bad n after all its worth it to me. Is that all right, I send you two super nice ones. I have ur address. I look parawire up tomoro n see if I can swing a lil wire. Guess I can still send scrap to rio grande n get a refund check. Shoild I order my pliers from rio grande or do yall have a cheaper place? They look to be about $60 plus shipping at rio grande.

Bill, I forgot to tell you, you will get a better deal if you use your scrap for credit & not get a check back. You can get some silver filled wire or your brass & copper there too. Silver filled is nice to work with. If you need any help picking it out just let me know.

Ok Donnie I think I will hold the scrap deal up and go with the para wire. I need the pliers, they reccomend nylon jawed ones for the coated parawire? I want to use silver colored wire on the turquoise cabs. So they have 21 ga square n half round on the new items for the no shipping charge place. I cant find the silver color tho. Could you give me a shopping list of what I need. I am going to try to follow the tutorial on the wire wrapping thread on here. Is the square harder to work than round, I am thinking the square would be hard to keep from showing a twist, on the other hand it might be easier if the square keeps you making strait no twis cause you can see it starting to turn wrong. I like your square cabs better than the round cabs I see. Sorry so many questions but lady you suggesting parawire is I godsend, its very affordable! Thanks again,Bill

Bill you might also be able to get the copper filled silver coated wire locally if you have a Hobby Lobby near. I found the 22 ga. half round there for about $6-$7 for 8 yds. They also have all the pliers you will need. They run an average of $7 pr. They didn`t have the square wire when I went so I found a cool bead shop in town that had the wire and a lot of different bails for cabs in a wide range of metals. I have only done a few wraps myself so I am nowhere near the caliber of these other folks who reply. I am a perfectionist and get too frustrated with any flaws in wrapping mistakes that I have wadded up wire and thrown it away. That is why I use cheap wire! lol ;D

No Hobby Lobby close enough but I am going to Sumter Sc to stay with my parents next week. They have a Michaels. Got my pliers list from BikerRandys tutorial. A silver wrap is not cheap at rio grande prices for sure Donnie. I will mail the cabs to you Monday, have to go to town to do some business so a friend will also take me to post office. You wrap your cab the way you want but make my example wrap a easy but attractive one. Thanks.
