Beautiful work, Helen! LOL, James! It kinda reminds me of fire agate with all the colors in it.

Thanks guys:). I was trying to get a 'coral bubbles' effect. It's an implosion marble with silvered glass... the bubbles look bluer or yellower in different lighting, but that's because the silvered glass reflects and is a bit prismatic, so you get a tinted rainbow effect.
I wanted to make 'bubbles' that resembled coral polyps, and just had a brainstorm about how to do it. I was really glad when I was able to get the COLORS not to turn mud brown (glass is a bit like cooking coral actually, the timing matters)... but it worked!! The marble is small, but that's because my torch is small, and I can't get much bigger than the 1 1/4" diameter that marble is.
Anyway, that's a reflection of how excited I was about the corals:)!!!

As one of the lucky recipients of both the Florida agates and Helen's glass-work, I know just how great those things look in your hand. Pictures just can't do them justice. That agate is huge! And that marble? ....... looks very interesting, even for someone who has no idea how much work and skill goes into creating something like it.

Kurt's a very talented carver with rare artistic vision. The carving I got from him was just inspired, and I love it!!
And yes, those are HUGE beautiful specimens, James!!! Hopefully, we'll be going to find some of them with James next summer:).
