Howdy folks.
Was just wondering if any of you caught the news story yesterday where a news reporter called out New York's mayor Bloomberg about his anti gun hypocrisy. Mayor richee rich dumbass was asked if he was gong to disarm the five or six armed guards that were bumping up against the reporter as he was asking the question, Mr. Mayor, why is it OK for you to have armed guards to protect you when you won't allow New York citizens to be armed to protect themselves. *L* No answer of course. It seems the Prez and all his rich cronies, Hollywood types etc. think it's OK only for them to have armed protection.
Someone just dropped me a note that Homeland Security has just purchased 7000 full auto assault weapons. They of course listed these full auto "true assault rifles" as a "Personal Defense Weapons". Our legal semi auto, non assault weapon models, of course, are designated by gun grabbers as "assault weapons".
Bloomberg passes a 7 round clip law and most the cops carry guns holding 16 or more rounds with extra clips too. The also often carry modified shotguns and full auto assault rifles. Why? To protect themselves in shootouts with bad guys of course. These guns are "their personel defense weapons" Why do cops need large magazines for self defense and citizens who might have to defend themselves need low capacity firearms that in many big cities are next to impossible to even buy legally? Do criminals cops face carry special weapons that make them more dangerous than the criminals the private citizen might face. I think not. The hypocrisy is endless and sickening.
Every law abiding citizen should have the exact same access to self defense tools as any cop, politician, rich guy or Hollywood star. This is not a radical idea put forth in the 2nd amendment, it's simply fair play and common sense. The second amendment is not about hunting or target shooting, it's about citizens having the right to own firearms necessary to protect themselves against criminals or tyranny. The Prez is always talking about fair is he not? Time for him to stand up and preach what he practices and allow citizens the same right to self defense he exercises at great cost to taxpayers......Mel
