I got contacted by a woman who was interested in purchasing some cullet glass chunks I had pictures of online. Seemed kind of odd after talking to her and I checked her website (divinitycodes.com). She told me she sells a ton of the glass. What she did not tell me was that she sells it as "ultra rare monatomic Andara crystal" for $433.87 per pound (she sells it by the gram actually but I did the math). After doing some google research I was shocked to see how many people are pulling this scam on people. This lady who sells on Etsy and Ebay, also said she bought 130 pounds of glass from RTH's slabcabber (as did I!). I saw a listing for one such piece here: www.etsy.com/listing/112563876/certified-authentic-monatomic-andara?ref=sr_gallery_3&ga_search_query=andara+certified&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_ship_to=US&ga_search_type=allThe back story is quite funny. If you see people like her and the others on Ebay, you see amount of feedback they are getting and the average price of the listings and you can see they are making 3 grand plus/month! Each purchase comes with a certificate of authenticity, so it's possible I could be wrong here (not). I have a 10 pound "Andara" crystal I may have to list on Ebay for the discounted price of $3,999.00. Any takers? ...it's certified monatomic crystal mined from the high Sierra Mountains of northern California originally from Lemuria. I swear.

Glass poured and was wrong so they dump it into crazy piles. Its cull molten glass. It makes crazy shapes n color mixes. The glass manufacturer can only ad about ten percent back into the grind and mix for new glass. Corning Glass works has truckloads of it at every plant.

But, but, but........ glass isn't monatomic. She is completely mis-representing her product. I just read her listing. She is the biggest most shameful huckster this side of MACS0647-JD. There is no truth too precious for her to mis-quote. Wow.

This kind of shenanigans is what makes the metaphysical crowd lose every possible shred of credibility. Also why I refuse to list metaphysical nonsense on my etsy listings. These people are hucksters and charlatans of the highest order in my opinion. Modern day snake oil salesmen.

It appears the originator of this scam is a woman named Lady Nellie. It seems she claims her "andarra crystals" are found on her "mountain". There is an entire website developed by the heir to her throne. The source of the "energy" is a giant Hawaiian quartz crystal that is said to have a twin in Hawaii that is the "gateway anchor" for the energy to her home. I know there are peridot beaches in hawaii but are there giant quartz stones there?
The website is dubdubdub dot lady nellie dot com We dont want the search engines finding this thread.

I tried to report one of these ebay listings as fraudulent. But it seems that ebay doesn't have a category for reporting charlatans (thanks for the word Don). I guess ebay is OK with this activity.

Shotgunner...she can provide letters of authenticity of the monatomic properties. There are no middlemen, she is the source! (her ads used to say she deals directly with the miners!). In fact her Andara (cullet) Crystals are so pure she states: "TRUE Andara, like light photons, can pop in and out of dimensions, meaning your Andara can TRAVEL, it may even DISAPPEAR......there are countless people who have purchased Andara's from me and had this happen, including myself!!!!!" That, in my opinion is not a smart selling point. If I buy a high priced piece of Andara Crystal, I would want it to stay put and not suddenly disappear on me.

Yeah! I was looking for some obsidian a while ago and came across some weird looking Andaran Obsidian. I looked into it and concluded it was horsesh*t. Similar opinions (if not the same I found back then) here: www.mindat.org/mesg-55-48797.htmlRemember if its not just plain Obsidian or Ruby or whatever mineral / rock / similar but has a Descriptive Term before hand it might well be trademarked, but this leads away from factual description to marketing. In the nearby town of Whitby they sell Whitby Jet, one of the best forms on the planet. However there is nothing to stop me trademarking BarnsleyJet (the used to mine plain old Coal in Barnsley). That reminds me there's something called a Barnsley Trout!! PG. Alternatively it might just have a marketing name: Diamonique, I am led to understand is good old Cubic Zirconia. Now that's a great looking mineral - it is indeed a gem - but one of the cheaper - sorry - more affordable ones but I wouldn't like to think anyone associates it with diamond... but I bet they do! I bought a load of muscovite / biotite mica schist tiles for the floor. They were labelled sandstone. I thought 'what dumb-ass named that sandstone - its a country mile off'. Obviously schist has its associations and sandstone sells more. I like it and would have bought it (at the right price) if they called it 'bull'! You know the rest.

But rattlehead... how can she be the "source" if she buys it from you??
I saw one seller that was offering "monatomic' andarra "glass" with chemical analysis showing just what the chemical makeup was. It listed at least 18 elements. That is 18 monatomic components of a single monatomic 'glass'. At least seller was honest that it was glass and not a "crystal".
And whose reputation is behind the certifications? The lying rat bastard seller? Bullsh|t.
People got more money than brains.

Ebay has no interest in discourgaing these type of sellers. The only time Ebay will take any action is when it hits them in the pocket. By that I mean going after counterfeit goods. They have been hit with a big judgement against them from certain designer names. Thus they will only go after those type of frauds.

I was being sarcastic a bit. The woman is a complete fraud as are all of those ebay sellers. I've seen some selling the multi pound rock size ones for $1000 plus! ...and they have buyers. Amazing.

Are cullet glass and slag glass the same thing?
Surprised the seller doesn't have a side business in colloidal silver or colon cleansing.

ahh.. yes, colloidal silver. Safer and more active when diluted 50/50, 64 times. The aura of silver is so much stronger and therefore more effective when diluted this way.
I once had a scheister tell me the colloid partical size was in the femtometer range. So small they could not be detected. Of course, he forgot that the silver atom at ~300 picometers was bigger than his claimed colloidal particle size! Of course you couldn't measure it. It ain't there!
