Most years when the temps get below 0 F we hook up the hose with a sprinkler head and place different objects for the ice to form on. This started with a couple of wooden spools one smaller than the other , then added a 10' steel rod which the sprinkler was tied on to. Later we tied cords around horizontally and vertically. What you see here is a $200 water bill.LOL While I was in FL some wire panels were added and more than doubled the size. As to the tomato bed this is the difference between TX and MT this time of year. (Snuffys tomato patch) Last summer with the drought we couldn't water enough for anything. Leave the hose on all day just running on the ground and after 12 hrs we were lucky to have moisture 2" deep. Getting a head start this year on watering the tomato patch and doesn't seeem to be soaking in now either!!!

Very cool. I've seen some that are even higher but bet yours would beat them especially if it is even higher now. Don't know if they did theirs like yours but looked like their pipe burst on the water for the irrigation system and 'poof' ice sculpture.
