Howdy folks,
Any of you hooked on the MMA "Ultimate Fighter" program yet? I'm not much for team sports, football, baseball and such but I do love a good fight. This TV show is almost gladiatorial in nature and I've got to say, the participants are the meanest, scariest looking bunch I've seen on the telley. Anti gun politicians should take a look at the guys on this program. I'll bet they'd understand the need for high capacity magazines if they ever came across a bad guy as tough as these dudes in a dark alley *L*.....Mel

Don't watch TV much anymore, but I like watching the MMA once in a while.
I know what you mean about the high capacity magazines too. Saw a fight once in the heavyweight division where an American (Big Country) was getting creamed by a Brazilian dude. He took a ton of abuse for 3 rounds and kept coming back for more. He lost the fight but was still standing at the end. I don't know how a mere mortal would deal with that...

Yep, politicians loose sight of the real reason for having reasonably high capacity firearms for self defense. It's all about equalization of force and leveling the playing field. Most criminals spend most their jail time in the gym and a lot of them are monsters. Average citizens, older folks, women etc need a firearm to equalize force in the event of an encounter with any of these stronger criminals who might also be hopped up in meth or crack. Young, fit, buddy of mine tangled with a meth'ed up burglar without the help of a firearm and it eventually took him, a two by four and his German Shepard to subdue the guy and the criminal was not even a big guy *L*......Mel

I don't need to watch it(although I do like it) my neighbor and all his alcoholic friends will tell you they are the baddest of all time. LOL. I'd like to pay one of these MMA guys to come over sometime id put 1k on him to take them all on at once.
Some people just have big heads and this reminds me of when they used to have those toughman competitions that anyone could enter. Years ago I worked with some guy that thought he was all that and he entered and the rest of guys from work went and got loaded up for the event. He gets into the ring and he's opponet turns out being the mgr of a Golds gym and he got his ass whipped in about 5 seconds it was awesome. The funniest part is the guy didn't come to work that next monday and actually quit his job and we never seen him again. I suspect he's still training for a rematch lmao!

Damn it im making a lot of double posts tonight because of afterthoughts but I just absolutely had to add that one of these tuff neighbors of mine got drunk a couple weeks ago and fell off his barstool backwards in the basement and his sister called me crying as the ambulance went by. 2 weeks in the hospital. Multiple broken ribs and a concussion. Awesome.
