you might get a kick out of this one. After helping my 8 yr old do 3 cabs last Sunday night he woke up the next morning and as soon as he got out of bed he started telling my wife about how if he makes 3 cabs every day that will be like a 1000 cabs in just one year and he went on and on about how rich he will be, lol. These kids of mine better start digging in our backyard and hope to find some pretty rocks because I think its costing more to feed their rock hobby then is to actually feed them. He didn't get three done tonight just this one .... (I take credit for the 80 grit rough grind and getting the girdle laid out) This is an opalite cab I re-cabbed on the genie to remove old flat lap facets. This is the new snake print jasper. (I dont do many free forms but I dropped a slab and this was the smaller of the pieces) This was a sample chunk of epodite from the guy I got the snake print from. thanks for looking Chuck

Very nice. Your son is too funny, bet he would change his tune if he found out how little he would make especially if he had to pay for equipment and such. Ah to be young again and full of myself...LOL. I really like the snake print jasper and the shape is nice. That epidote is my favorite though.

Chuck they are all beauties! Excuse me for saying so, but I love your girdles! LOL! Your son looks to be a master in the making. One thought, if you don't discourage him, in 5 to 10 years he might be able to fund his own hobby! Just a thought... LOL!

Thanks Cathy, I usually don't include the girdle pictures but sometimes it's nice to see that view too. I am sure the rock interest will come and go as the boys get older but they will certainly always remember the cool stuff we have achieved together already.
