When I got this slab it was called Dogtooth Psilomelane. There might be some more pics in a couple of days, I still need to cut the cabs. I wish the pictures did the cabs justice but I must have taken hundreds of pictures and still couldn't get the right picture. Thanks for looking.

That's some cool material Bob.
Just for kicks, try using a darker background. I've noticed sometimes a light background on a dark subject works against it.

Looks like you've got some interesting stuff going there! I second Nate on the background. That first one looks like it's got some really interesting stuff going on in the black!

I usually have good luck with as neutral background like medium blue. Black backgrounds definitely wash out my pics. Those are cool cabs!!

Looks great. Anything with Phsilomelaine is hard to photograph.
