What a smorgasbord Blue dino bone freeform Blue G- the sister slice to this fell apart badly, but this one was ok. I had to lighten up on the pressure. This is a big cab from a slice. Because of all the components, the polish is sketchy on this piece. Super sweet gem silica. In person it's much nicer with little malachite clouds on the front and druzy on the sides. This, being labradorite, didn't photo well. I got this preform form Carleton. It is really, really nice. After I thought I was finished, I noticed that I missed a few spots. Hard to see when it is so shiny wet. An OJ, already wrapped and on reserve. Opal in feldspar. I have yet to preserve any of the chatoyancy in any of these. I left this thick to try and groove wrap it. And lastly, a sweet littel Argentine rhodo. I left plenty unfinished on the dop. I've had the flu and was too tired to finish anymore. Thanks for looking.

nice variety you got there. I like that dino bone but if I had to choose a favorite it would be between the ocean jasper and that rhodo.

They do look awesome! I think the blue dino is my favorite, though! How is that stuff to work? Haven't tried any ... yet, but it really looks cool!!!!

Thanks I so love cabbing. It's really cool to share, too. Cathy, this was my second bone. I had to stop on this one and put some glue on one small edge area because it seemed like it was a little crumbly. After that, it was a breeze. It works pretty good, but I think there's different qualities of rough. I've seen some that doesn't look as solid as these were. I still have a few small pieces left of the lot and the whole lot seemed pretty good to me, but I'm a novice at it. The area that was crumbly had a different look to it. I think once you get a feel for it, you can work around bad spots. Boy, was that too much answer or what? LOL!

No, that's great Tela and exactly what I wanted to know. I've been thinking about getting some and it helps to hear how you did with it!

Tela, way to come back from the flu! All are nice. I picked a favorite, but it keeps changing, so I will stick with "all."

Great set. Way too many to choose a favorite one, but the OJ certainly is on a league of its own. I also really like the feldspar for its solid color and the perfect shape.
