I cut the grooves in these once, then broke the tip and recabbed, then regrooved. These worked out, this time, but the other stone wasn't so lucky. 2 out of three ain't too bad, at this point. I'll get it eventually  These are pink opal with pink opal bead and sterling silver. Attachments:

Thank you Thank you for the picture comment, too. Taking pix of pale stones on a light background is hard to do. These were "floating" on fine fishing line suspended from the sides of a beveled frame mat. Simple set up for nice earring pictures. I didn't even have to PS the line out- it is so fine you can't see it. Adrian, Hub is my groove wrap G*d. I strive to meet his excellence. It's the actual grooving that I have the hardest time with. I break the rocks.  |

Very fluid design on these in the wirework, Tela, giving a real elegant feel to the pair! Beautiful !!!

Thanks all. I can't wait to cut some more earring preforms. The groove wrap makes for pretty light earrings. These weigh 6 grams each- not too bad. Hub, don't be modest. You are very inspiring. |
