Howdy folks, Just been cleaning up some kind of doggy stuff I've had in the works for awhile. UV-10 mixed batch of odds and ends. Here are a few pics of some of the stuff. Thanks for looking.....Mel I've done several a batches of this Hornitos Poppy Jasper from up at our old ranch in California. Most came out pretty good but this last batch had a lot of fractures. Many of the specks you see are included pyrite crystals as this was from an old gold mine and gold bearing sulfides like pyrite are all through the quartz minerals from this site. Makes better cabs than tumbles as you can better select clean areas if you slice it for cabbing. ![](http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b377/sabre52/DSCN7263_zps7b8dcfa5.jpg) Pretty much the last of some mixed banded agate Lowell sent me. Pretty stuff but fairly fractured. ![](http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b377/sabre52/DSCN7264_zps60ce0125.jpg) Still more from my last box of Royal Aztec Purple Lace. Another kind of doggy tumble but some hunks are very pretty. ![](http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b377/sabre52/DSCN7265_zpsf80751c8.jpg) Just a couple pieces of Texas pet wood from my last George West trip. This is a fun tumble but most I find is too big and needs to be broken up a bit. ![](http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b377/sabre52/DSCN7266_zpsc1b3e290.jpg)

Great tumble. Those agates are super nice and the fractures sure don't show up in the pics.

James: The jasper zone extends for several miles along the south shore of Lake Mc Clure but the outcrops are real spotty. They show up in several spots throughout Hunters Valley with the largest concentration being down at the end of the valley not far from the lake. I used to have some on my own ranch, both brecciated and poppy, but the best access was though a ranch now owned by a pro basketball player at the end of the valley. Used to be a dandy outcrop a couple of properties over from my place but some guy built a new home right on top of it.....Mel
