Hi fellow crazy people:) This cab is cut from a chunk of pet algae, and the silver is my first silver smithing project, soldered bezel with hard, then to the silver backing with medium, then the bail with easy. To be honest my instructor has been the internet, videos and forums. Its not quite centered or something? Its off, yet the cab itself was very oval. I guess for a first time its ok. I must admit I really really like the cab tho! I have a lot to learn about cabbing but the silver smithing is going to be a real learning curve. I am taking a 4 part course in it in a couple months. Likely by the time I get there I will have learned lots of bad habits:) Feel free to criticize this, thats how I learn. Thanks Tom

Good job!
To get the bail to sit nicely, use. Half-round file on the bail and place that spot on the thickest part of the backplate.

First time smithing looks good. Don't get in a hurry! It will be what patience and effort you put into it. Best advice is just keep doing it and you'll get to where you want to be with this.
