If you catch one I would love to have it for a pet. Very intelligent bird and they hold a place in Native American history. Jim

Super cool birds. I worked a raven project for two years on my job. They can be great talkers too and actually have their own fairly sophisticated language. We had one at the Raptor Center, named Poe of course *L*. Was one of our cooler birds but a bit nippy. Can only keep them under permit though as they are, unlike crows, a protected species. Of course government biologists kill them out of hand in desert tortoise country as they are rough on baby tortoises. I used to find piles of empty shells under raven rest areas...Mel
