A few folks here mentioned problems seeing images from android phones/tablets.
after prodding for some more info, it seems it is photobucket images in particular.
When I use my android phone I use the proboards app, and it is handling photobucket images ok.
but I tried the standard web browser and it does not. I got [image] instead. did not see the blue ? folks report, but I think it is their app's version of [image]
I found some discussion on other forums of people having similar problems. Some browsers seemed to work better than others.
Installed FireFox browser and was a big flop. Kept hanging, and did not get to even check out images.
Tried Opera browser and it was pretty fast and handled the images OK.
The whole reason there is a new interface at photobucket is because they are trying to support more platforms, and videos, and slideshows, and new fangled embeds for "stories" and sharing in fancy ways. They have to evolve to remain competitive, nut is sucks there are some glitches. So some of the code that serves up images is changing too - not just the interface. So this is not the same as some interface problems folks are having, but likely all because of their updates in general.
When the dust settles it may be a photobucket problem or an android problem or a browser app problem - somebody is not fully implementing standards. The techs can argue it out. I keep in mind that android OS, photobucket hosting, and proboards forums are all FREE and all nice to have.
I think some fix (photobucket or android) will be out soon because mobile market is important, but meanwhile you can use Opera browser or use pb app.
I did not check Chrome browser.
Hope this helps.
