Four more psuedos broke off the upper right corner. Each compartment is a seperate coral This one is mostly solid, the gray part.It is 3 seperate corals. These were found loose in the river bottom.I found a 4 x 10 foot cluster of 4 - 8 inch psuedomorphs one time.Nice load.We were sitting at the saw waiting for it to finish cutting on every one of them.

Very cool. I think I would have been waiting at the saw too just to see what was inside of those.

Those are awesome. The first one is incredible and so interesting to look at. You can just visualize it at the bottom of the ocean. Way cool Bill

Those are great looking specimens. Those colors are really cool. I can't quite visualize how they form. Are the corals hollow and the botryoidal agate grows in the voids? Nice puzzle and nice corals buddy.

I think they seal off before they completly silicify Carlos. They usually fill with that grey agate that is very hard to a solid fill most of the time.If it seals the chamber then those botyroids leach thru and form.Like little pipes or vessels feeding a series of silica mounds making the botyroids. But the cavity is there because it did not fill w/agate completly.a vug
