I'm thinking fluorite. Is it softer than glass? Try to scratch a bottle with it.

Okay unfortunately it's a friends but I'll have him check. I thought just from the feel of it that is was glass at first ..but no def not..it's neat stuff whatever it be..

Okay I'm convinced too ,thanks all for helping out. I'm hoping someday to have rock ID skills that are as respectable as you all's. I hope I don't get to boring asking about some.... I'm using this as a study aid for my rock memory inventory. So thank's again for sharing the knowledge!
