This stone feels softer than quarts but not by much.(I really should have at least tried scratching some of my friends stones) You can see a little light through deep blue areas.. it shimmers is very crystalline. solid ..and looks just like a bird shat on the cut surface.. Attachments:

Cool, thanks Lee always nice to have a second opinion. I've never put a shine on a flat cut but I'm sure the owner wouldn't want to brake it up to fit the tumblers I got. Any tips on shining the one side?

It is very pretty! I think it's getting hard to find sodalite rough these days.
When I first saw it, I thought it may be dolomite. :blush:
