Hello all, Today is my anniversary to my wonderful husband of 2 years and I have to share this. He is a gourmet chef, so on special occasions he goes to a gourmet food maket about an hour away and buys very extravagent foods. Tonight he had actualy scheduled a 5 course meal and on the 3rd course I said " Honey, I just can't do 2 more courses". So he said "You sit there, don't move, one more course". Of course, we are drinking chapagne and he brings out a little chocolate mousse torte with 2 spoons. As I am about to cut into it I see it- a diamond ring, sitting on top, just gleaming! It's not huge, 1/2 carrat, but just this side of flawless. My original engagement ring was not very big and he allways promised to up graded when we could. It's so beautiful!!!
Just wanted to share and find out, Who sent me the message last week saying"Guess who I made a ring for, he comes in the shop all the time".
He choose the diamond and had the setting made.
wishing you all good karma,
cookie ;D

Cookie What ever you do, do not get the ring in bleach. Chloride fractures gold. To clean under the culet of the stone down the road, amonia is wonderful. It cleans without damaging either the setting or the stone. I made my wife a 9X7mm ruby for her engagement ring. I have not given it to her yet as I have not made the setting. The original was a black pearl with 14K wire in a woven ring. I wish you all the joy my wife and I have shared. I hope challenges become a together strenthening event, I hope the strength of the two of you become a glimmer of hope to someone you do not know and it makes a difference in their lives. I hope your spirits become joined and you glow as one. I hope any weakness become strengths as the two of you climb to new heights. I wish the two of you prosperity of the heart, spirit, body, and freedom without fear. My step father in law is passing into closing his eyes forever. We were notified tonight. When I read of your joy, it has eased for this moment the changes my wife and I must endure. Good luck and may your life be full.

Well OK, Some may prepare to be bored...
I was widowed in 99, my husband fought a long hard bought with cancer. I moved to GA from Texas to be closer to my family. After about a year I was ready to get back into the world and date again but I was working so much that I had no social life. My cousin Mark and I kinda found each other as he was going through a divorce and we started going out for dirnks sometimes. We were going to go dancing one night and found out the club we wanted to go to was closed, so we ended up in a hole in the wall called Southside bar and grill. We were both dressed kinda goth and this was a really red neck place. Mark looked up at one point and said "That guy is good looking, you need to meet him". I saw Michael and fell instantly in love. Turns out, he was there to meet his girl friend but she was talking to another guy. I latched on to him and Mark ( I coudn"nt do it my self) gave him my phone #. I didn't think I would ever see himm again. About 2 weeks later my Mom showed me a copy of the local newspaper, the personals section: "Nanette, I met you 2 weeks ago at southside bar and grill. I lost your phone # please call me Michael at***-**** as I would like to see you again." The rest is fairy tale history!
OK, you can wake up now.
thanks cookie

I'm really happy for you. Sounds like you've got youself a pretty good new life started there! I think that your husband's a very lucky man. First he found you, and now he's talked you into polishing all the rocks in the yard. ;D Wish you all the best! Ron ps. By the way, I finally remembered to look at BanjoCreeks inset picture and it does look like a Rolling Stones Album cover.
