I bought a whole bucket of them many years ago in Quartzsite. The outside polishes up nicely too. Interesting patterns.

I bought a whole bucket of them many years ago in Quartzsite. The outside polishes up nicely too. Interesting patterns. The bigger ones I polish on the outside-I have one baculite that is over 22" long...........Just about a whole.. I have many that are cut and each one is different from the other on the inner chambers... Years ago they were concidered a junk fossil, nobody would pick them up(LOL-I would and my Uncle too)..Now they are worth something....

No worries, Clyde. I found search results about vacuums for 'vaculite,' but there is a novaculite that is flint or chert. ?? Pretty cool that the outside of baculites polish up nicely, too. That's a beautiful agate, Fossilman! Looks like a flame. A 22" baculite piece? Wow! Must have been a huge specimen.
