I have a nice "limb cast" and I soaked it overnite in "dawn" liquid soap, but still dirty... Any other ways to get it clean without damaging the surface? (Clyde, its the one I showed you yesterday).. Would like to put it on my collection display.....Thanks all.........

If after a scrubbing and rinse there isn't any grit or loose pieces, you could try running it through your dishwasher (it is usually OK to use detergent, but with the heated dry cycle turned off). If there is still stuff stuck, you are going to have to use dental tools, some sort of blaster, etc., and you'd have to consider the risk of damaging the surface (if it is really stuck, then it is probably fully or partly agatized and part of the cast).

No dishwater here but me,I'm old school on things like that-LOL....Might try letting it soak longer, maybe three or four days....Maybe like you said,it might be incorperated into the limb cast itself..

Hey Mike, if it has algi or lichen sticking to it, try soaking for a couple days in strong bleach water. Then scrub it real good. The bleach will loosen most of that crud. If that doesn't work, bring it over here and I'll soda blast it for you.

Ask your neighbors if you can run a rock through their dishwasher.
