A couple of years ago Robin,Chromenut,made me get one of these.Then lost the program on a computer change,and just now got it back on.These pics give an interesting perspective on fossils,at least for me! I took several different palmwood thin slabs to get these pics.

These were interesting,looks like eyes

These next few were cut with the grain

Here is bowl made out of palm.This is a view of the side of the tree(long grains in center).Palm from Florida i cut and gave to my friend that turns bowls.Shows how similar the fossils are.

I'm still trying to figure out how some palm can be differentiated from fossil coral, since they have similar patterns in many cases.
