The boss and I went to Cumbria in may last year, so I could pick up some obsidian. I finally got round to sorting out pictures.
The following link is to a thing on photobucket that I put together, haven't figured out how to add text to it let me know what you think. It may take time to load as there are ove 100 pictures.

The first six pics are juat some peaks and snow nothing really major. the next set are of a garden centre everything in the pictures bar the buildings was for sale.
The third section is a place called Lowther Castle abandoned after WWII. www.visitcumbria.com/pen/lowther-castle That link will give you a bit of history.
Section 4 starts with the fountain and the water filled hole in the ground thats Vindolanda a roman fort near Hadrians wall, section 5 which starts after the pic with a long and impressive history is (H) Adrians wall.

Then there's 4 pics with a sign for Dumfries and Galloway we were in Gretna Green, where people used to run off to to get married. The pics were so the boss could say she's been to Scotland.
Then there's a few pics of the journey home, the town pictures are of Kendal, famous for it's mint cake which is sweet enough to make your teeth itch.

And lastly for those of you who haven't seen it the obsidian we collected.
